The setting is just breathtaking. The tranquility, the serene setting sets this place apart. The walking paths to the top of the hill to the west can get muddy so bring hiking boots. The rooms are small but the terrace makes up for the quaintness. Super friendly and helpful staff. Rooms cleaned and beds set everyday. I will definitely be visiting here again.

Zero compassion from this place. My flight couldn’t land in Santander due to bad weather so got diverted to Madrid. Let them know as soon as I could that is not under my control but they couldn’t care less. Kept pushing their no show policy and still changed for the stay ( they had rooms, it’s not like customers were queuing at their door). Just what you’ll need after a sleepless night and a 6hrs unplanned coach trip.

Despite the drizzle, I loved my stay here. Super nice bedroom, very nice staff, idyllic location. It's hard to fault. Coffee is free (Nespresso). Beers and cokes etc are one euro, self-service and pay later. Lovely view from breakfast room.

Great place to stay, staff fab, place so spotless, great breakfast for a fee. Great bed and bathroom. We travelled to San Vicente de la Barquera by bus, so walked to the Posada, it's just over a mile to the place from the bus station, and there is a very steep hill to negotiate, if in car plenty of parking. Our room also had a terrace with table and chairs. Free coffee and tea and you can also purchase cold drinks for a euro, this includes fizzy juice and beer. Breakfast for €5 euros was excellent, toast, juice, coffee, cheese, fruit etc. Would recommend and return in the future.
